Mrs. Joan Shepherd, a retired teacher in the Guilford County Schools, and avid supporter of Ice Hockey in Greensboro passed away last Tuesday.
Mrs. Shepherd was very active with the Ice Hockey Booster Clubs and often cared for the players as if they were her own children. She treated her students in school the same as the Guest Book at the News & Record Obituary page demonstrates her influence and impact upon her students and those around her.
She was a terrific cook

A celebration of life reception will be held at Emerald Event Center, 2000 E Wendover Ave, Greensboro NC on Saturday, September 24, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. (drop in). Brief words of remembrance by her daughter will be given at 2:45 PM.
