  1. Chris Carter–Ragsdale, Merritt Blanks– High Point Central, Jasper Thomas–High Point Andrews all of these guys play for Lenoir-Rhyne.

  2. Hunter English from Western Guilford is leading the team in tackles at Guilford College. He is only a Freshman too.

  3. Kasey Redfern (Ragsdale) – Sophomore, Kicker/Punter – Wofford College, Walt Sparks (Ragsdale) – Sophomore, Long Snapper/Defensive Lineman – University of Richmond, Tyler Ritter (Ragsdale) – Sophomore, Offensive Lineman – Hampden – Sydney

  4. I made a list of more names when I got home last night and wiill add in these others too and if you know of more, then pass those along….

Good list and with some research, we could hit 100-plus kids from Guilford County/surrounding borders playing college football…..

  5. Trey Perry (Dudley) WR Gardner Webb Senior
DeMarcus Bell (Dudley) DT Hampton University Freshmen
Jermy Reynolds(Dudley) CB Texas Tech Freahmen
Josh Jones (Dudley) DE Navel Academy Junior

  6. One of our longest lists ever and we went back and did some separation to try and make the list a little easier to read….I haven’t taken a recent count, but we have to be close to 100 on the list, with Dudley and Ragsdale, looking to be your leaders…..

  7. Wasn’t surprised at Dudley having the most… they should. Since they have the academy kids may come to play there county wide. Most other schools have strict attendance zones.

  8. Adam Scott (Northwest Guilford) DL Appalachian State Sophomore
Alex Pauley (Northwest Guilford) LB Carson-Newman Freshman
Austin Pauley (Northwest Guilford) RB/LB Carson-Newman Freshman

  9. Who did we leave out? Are we still missing somebody and if so, where are they?

This is the biggest list that I have ever seen around here on high school to college players…

  10. James Tre Perry III(Dudley HS) had 8 catches for 91 yards for Gardner-Webb in the Bulldogs loss to Wake Forest last Saturday….Not too shabby…..A good day for Tre’……….

  11. @77 That statement is not true at all. Do you even know how many kids on this list from Dudley, were in the Acadmey? No you dont. Dudley does a great job getting kids to the next level. Unlike other schools. There are some schools that dont make highlight tapes for there kids, take there kids to one day camps and worst of all they dont allow Recruiters on campus. So know what you are talking about before you start farting off at the mouth.

WG has had plenty of talent maybe your coach should do a better job of getting his kids into school.

  12. So Panther4lyfe……..just how many of the current players at the next level lived in the Dudley attendance zone…..put your info out there to defend an otherwise meaningless argument. I distinctly remember a Dudley basketball team that had no less than 4 kids on it that did not live in the attendance zone…..but that was before “Northern-gate”!

  13. I disagree to a certain extent about Western Guilford…The good players from Western Guilford do go on to play college ball at some level, but there are no where as many college recruits as there are at Dudley; Just look at the records..Dudley for the last few years has probably won 50+ games in the last 4-5 years…Western Guilford has been a .500 club during that same time frame, so this has nothing to do with attending camps or sending out tape..

  14. One good thing that I’ve heard Page is doing is having a subscription to a website called Hudl. Coach G has given all his players access to this account and they are allowed to go on there and make their highlights. They are able to watch their games and opponents. It is a really neat program. Once the kids complete the highlights, then all the kids have to do is plug in the recruiters email address and it gets sent.

  15. This list, this list…..Unthinkable…..This list, this list…..Unbelievable…..

    This list, this list…..It won’t stop……Unstoppable……

Boys basketball and girls basketball too, later on???

  16. @ron burgundy Is this topic about Football or Basketball? I can only speak for football. And I know how many kids were in the Academy that have been named on this site. So what is your point?

@WG fan WG has had plenty of talent over the years. And there are also plenty of kids playing College football that played for an .500 high school. Heck Dudley was sending kids to school when they went 0-10 and 5-5.

  17. Ok so they may not have that many that transferred to the academy this year. (their record shows it) But year in and year out they always have key players that are playing out of their attendance zone. Heck look at basketball, Dudley plays all over the country. No public high school should be doing that. It just goes to show they are robbing talent from other schools. Last year the News and Record interviewed a player that left us to go play over there. Here’s what I would like to see. If a student transfers to another school for academic reasons, he should not be able to play sports. After all it was for academic reasons right? It’s too easy for schools to form all star teams when they don’t play with the same rules.

  18. @77 Hornet Once again you turn this into a basketball topic lol. Like I said before I cannot speak for the baskeyball program. IMO kids should be able to play at any school that they want to. They should not have to suffer 4 years with a coach that does give 100% effort into getting them into schools. The home schools are robbing themselves of talent by not doing what it takes to gettting these kids to the next level. How would you feel if you were force to stay on the same job, when you were offered another one paying more money. And thats the job you wanted.

By the way our record is 1-4 because we dont schedule sorry non conference teams unlike some other schools. when WG beats Dudley then you can talk about our record lol
