  • Just sayin said,

Why do they cancel games because of a little rain? Lighting yes Rain no! I say make them all play and deal with the elements!

  • Field Manager said,

High schools do not have the money to repair/resod football fields if they get destroyed. Most have two or three sports that need to play on them. Also, Gate receipts are most likely taken into consideration. Nobody but the true diehards want to watch a game in the rain.

  • HS football fan said,

I have seen some rainouts rescheduled for Saturday and other for Monday, who makes that call. I would hope that the safety of the players and the ones traveling with bus would be taken into consideration as well when making the decision on canceling.
