High School Football Tonight, if they can still play the games due to the weather

High School Football Game of the Week on radio will be East Forsyth at Ragsdale in Jamestown, if the weather allows us to have Friday Football this evening……Air time will be 6:45pm on AM950 and we will have scores from the other games throughout the night on the radio and here at the site………Loads of conference games tonight and at least one endowment game with Thomasville at High Point Central…..

  1. Why do they cancel games because of a little rain? Lighting yes Rain no! I say make them all play and deal with the elements!

  2. High schools do not have the money to repair/resod football fields if they get destroyed. Most have two or three sports that need to play on them. Also, Gate receipts are most likely taken into consideration. Nobody but the true diehards want to watch a game in the rain.

  3. I have seen some rainouts rescheduled for Saturday and other for Monday, who makes that call. I would hope that the safety of the players and the ones traveling with bus would be taken into consideration as well when making the decision on canceling.
