(BERKELEY) – Keenan Allen(Northern Guilford High School) was named a Wide Receiver Performer of the Week by the College Football Performance Awards on Sunday for the first time in his career following his performance Saturday during a 31-23 loss in a Pac-12 contest at Washington.
Allen had his biggest day at Cal, posting career bests of 10 catches and 197 receiving yards (fifth-most all-time at Cal) to lead all receivers in the contest. Allen took a short pass from Zach Maynard(Grimsley High School) in the first quarter and turned it into a 90-yard TD reception that was the longest pass play in school history. He added two rushes for 20 yards to finish with a career-high 217 all-purpose yards. In addition, eight of his 10 catches were for first downs.

Kennan is no doubt a very gifted athlete however I think many of the players in the area are “living up to expecations”.
Being a Nighthawk fan it’s great to see Keenan having such success, but I believe we have many athletes from this area exceeding
expectations and beyond!
Keenan is the best football player I have ever seen ! He is definitely representing our area ! We have good athletes around here, but come on, Keenan will make it big, no doubt !
