Defending NCAA champion Greensboro kept its No. 1 spot in the Golf World/Nike Golf Division III men’s coaches’ poll. The Pride earned nine of 18 first-place votes, with voting completed before they played in their first fall event, the NCAA Fall Preview.

In the No. 2 spot is Methodist, jumping from preseason No. 3 and earning two first-place votes. Falling from second to third was St. John’s (Minn.), which still managed to pick up four first-place votes.

Rounding out the top five are Guilford and Illinois Wesleyan, holding their positions from the preseason poll.

Two new teams joined the top 10: UT-Tyler (No. 7) and Emory (No. 8). The former won the Rhodes College Men’s Fall Classic after a runner-up finish in its first fall start.

Wisconsin-Stout, at No. 21, is the only new team to join the top 25.
