Women’s Soccer Final – Guilford 3, Randolph 0

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Freshman Hannah Schiltz’s fourth two-goal game of the season lifted Guilford College to a 3-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) soccer win at Randolph College Wednesday night.

Schiltz put the Quakers (7-3-2, 2-0-2 ODAC) on the board in the 12th minute when she took a cross from Sarah Lewis and booted it into the left side of the net for a 1-0 Guilford lead.

While Guilford outshot the WildCats (3-5, 0-4 ODAC), 8-1, in the first half, but did not score its second goal until Schiltz put a bulge in the old onion bag from 18 yards out less than a minute into the second half. Schlitz now has a team-high 10 goals through Guilford’s first 12 matches.

Jaclyn Nucci closed the scoring in the 85th minute when she headed in a Sarah Levitt free kick for her third goal in four outings.

Guilford’s Amy Baker and Abby Gove split time in goal but neither recorded a save as none of the WildCats’ four shots reached the goal. Hunter Gibson made eight saves in goal for Randolph.

Guilford visits league-rival Randolph-Macon College Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
