LOS ANGELES — Harrison Barnes and three of his North Carolina teammates are among the 50 players on the Wooden Award’s preseason list.
John Henson, Kendall Marshall and Tyler Zeller of the Tar Heels were also selected for the list by the Los Angeles Athletic Club on Monday.

I can see Henson being on the Defensive player of the year watch list…..but offensively his skills are not even in the upper tier in the ACC. He just looks awkward around the basket and especially the free throw line. Also, he looks rather surprised after scoring a hoop….kinda like OMG….I just scored! As for Barnes, thats a no-brainer…..he has star quality written all over him! As far as Marshall and Zeller both are worthy of consideration to be amongst the top 50 players in the country as in my opinion Zeller is a workhorse in the Hansbrough mold and Marshall is AMAZING getting his teammates involved and getting to the basket. Probably needs to work on finishing around the basket offensively and becoming more astute with his right hand! And for all of you that are going to say I am comparing Zeller to Hansbrough, I am clearly not doing that….just a comparison of a low post big man who can go out to 15+ and be a threat….no one will have the will and work ethic of Hansbrough for a long time maybe ever…….
