Page Pirates move up to #2 in the state AP HS Football Poll, High Point Andrews #3 in 2-A’s

The Page Pirates are one spot away from being the #1 high school football team in the state of North Carolina…..Page stands as the #2 4-A team in this week’s new Associated Press poll and High Point Andrews spots up at #3 in the 2-A poll…..No love for Northern Guilford this week in the 3-A poll, as the Nighthawks did not get the votes they need to qualify for others receiving votes…..I don’t understand that…..They won the 3-AA Title last season and they have only lost one game this year and that was to the #2 4-A team in the state, the Page Pirates….You would think Northern would be ranked in the Top Five, the way they have been playing lately….But no Northern this week….Great work Page, you guys are right back up there at the top and HP Andrews, you are right there at it too…..

For this week we have:
#1 4-A Mallard Creek out of Charlotte….
#1 3-A Belmont South Point
#1 2-A Lincolnton
#1 1-A Wallace-Rose Hill

  1. That’s the way the Nighthawks fly…….under the radar. Everyone will respect them in November.

  2. Polls mean didley squat…Page don’t wanna be paper champions…Continue to work hard Pirates!!!…Good luck to the rest of the teams as well…

  3. With all that being said on the polls, it is still nice to get recognized….Kind of gives you a boost or shot in the arm, that your hard work has not gone unnoticed…..
