Little man putting up big numbers for North Carolina Tar Heels

from www.wralsportsfan.com:

Chapel Hill, N.C. — Giovani Bernard has made a quick impact in just five games for the Tar Heels. The redshirt freshman is the leading rusher this season for University of North Carolina after missing all of last year with a torn ACL.

Bernard, who gained 146 yards at East Carolina last week, said he cultivates a low-to-the-ground running style. “I think a lot of the time it’s them not being able to see me,” said the tailback, whom UNC lists at 5’10”.

He is on pace to be the first to gain 1,000 yards in a season in Tar Heel blue since 1997.
