QB Garcia gets the adios/exit call from the University of South Carolina Gamecocks and the old ball/bawl coach Steve Spurrier

The ‘Old Ball/Bawl Coach’ Steve Spurrier and the University of South Carolina have run out of patience, with their one-time top signal caller, Stephen Garcia…Five times, count them, five times, Garcia has been in trouble for alcohol violations/infractions and Carolina of the South just ran out of chances for Mr. Garcia…They got tired of giving Garcia second, third, fourth and fifth chances and when you start getting fifth chances when you are dealing with alcohol, you know somebody is in trouble and it was time for Garcia to go, or to say “adios”, from USC…..

from www.espn.com:

COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina quarterback Stephen Garcia has been dismissed from the No. 15 Gamecocks, a move that a source told ESPN.com’s Chris Low resulted from his testing positive for marijuana and alcohol.

Athletic director Eric Hyman said the fifth-year senior failed to meet agreed-upon guidelines put in place after Garcia’s fifth suspension this past spring. The source with direct knowledge of the situation told ESPN.com’s Low that Garcia’s agreement in returning stipulated he would not drink alcohol.

  1. After using up this young man talent..USC should be ashame. Nobody gets 4 chances unless it is about the Wins.. I hope they help this young get into a treatment program that will keep him there until he is better and just because football season rolls around.

  2. Well you know what they say about the player taking some responsibility? Is that out of the question? USC can offer up all the treatment in the world but until he agrees that he has a problem he is not going to recover. He has shamed himself and USC. My hope is through the tough love of the university he realizes he has a problem and seeks help. I wish him nothing but the best but he is not going to get better until he realizes that he has a problem and wants to fix it.

  3. Remember Art Schlistner the former quarterback for Ohio State University? He was projected to be the next great quarterback. He never got his personal life together.

  4. Art had some big-time problems with the ponies(Gambling) and he never did get it together……Was it Schilzter or was it another spelling,,,,,,That one was a tough one to spell……And did he play for Woody Hayes or Earle Bruce at Ohio State…I’m thinking maybe it was Earle Bruce…..
