Grasshoppers To Present $100,000 Guarantee To Give Checks To WINNERS
(Greensboro, NC)- The Greensboro Grasshoppers will present the
Guarantee To Give checks to the winning charities, TOMORROW, Tuesday at
10:00 a.m. Guests can arrive through the NewBridge Bank Park main gate
entrance. The total amount of charity monies, donated by the Greensboro
Grasshoppers is $100,000. Each of the 20 selected charities will
receive a $5,000.00 donation. The winning charities were selected from a
drawing held during the Grasshoppers season ticket/sponsor year end
thank you celebration.
Please join us as we present the checks to the winning charities and
acknowledge the season ticket holder/sponsorship partner that nominated
these charities. Coffee and doughnuts will be provided.
As announced last year in September, the core of the Guarantee To Give
pledge was based on the Greensboro Grasshoppers going to the South
Atlantic League playoffs for the first time in over ten years. All
Grasshopper season ticket holders and sponsors had the opportunity to
pick their local charity of choice, and the Hoppers 2011 playoff berth
resulted in 20 of the charities receiving a $5,000 donation.
