Triad, N.C.— The Carolina Cheetahs (www.carolinacheetahs.com), Triad’s own American Basketball Association “ABA” professional team is getting ready for its inaugural season commencing in November. The community and all media are invited to our player’s contract signing on Friday November 4th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Armani’s Fine Dining Restaurant (located 4312 Big Tree Way Greensboro, NC 27409, which is off of Wendover across from Sheetz).

Tim Wells, with all of his years of coaching experience heads up an enthusiastic group of young men ready to make a name in the Mid-Atlantic Division of the ABA. Wells was a former NC State player and Winston-Salem State assistant basketball coach. Tim was employed last season as Head Coach at KK Triland, a professional basketball team in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Wells led the Triland team to an undefeated regular season record (10-0). With a record of (14-1), Wells was named League “Coach of the Year” after coming back to the triad area with the Championship.
The Cheetah’s first pre-season opener will be played 7:30pm Friday Nov. 16 at the UNC-Greensboro’s Fleming Gymnasium (1350 Walker Avenue, Greensboro, North Carolina 27402) where the Cheetah’s will host the Lynchburg Legends from Virginia. Pre-Season ticket prices are only $5 for kids and $10 general admission with discounts on Season, Fast Break and VIP Passes available online for all home games via Event Bright.
