Former Page Pirate and Dudley Panthers assistant coach Ken Page passed away today

Got the news this afternoon that former Page and Dudley assistant football cocach Ken Page passed away today….

Long-time coach and one great person…..Was an exceptional high college and high school football player and he got a tryout with the Washington Redskins after college…..

Part of that Page coaching staff from years gone by with head coach Marion Kirby, Frank Starling, Clayton Nance, Bill King, Bob Via and others…..Also helped and coached with Steven Davis and Victor Floyd while at Page and then later served under Steven Davis at Dudley….

An excellent linebackers coach and he could really coach football and he could paint too…..Outstanding artist…..

He would do the artwork on the mid-field at Page and later after he went over to Dudley, he did the artwork there too and he even did the artwork that spruced up the Dudley Press Box……

The man could coach and he could paint……He really knew how to make those fields at Page and Dudley look top-notch/#1…..

A great loss to the Greensboro educational and athletic community……

RIP Coach Ken Page…..

  1. RIP KP, we will never forget you at Page High School.

Your family and friends are in the Page communities prayers.

  2. I had the pleasure to have “KP” as a teacher, a coach, and he was a dear friend. He took great pride in coaching and teaching kids to excel and be the best they could be. He will be truly missed. My prayers and sympathy go out to Mrs. Page and little Ken.

  3. RIP KP. A great coach and mentor. Nothing but good memories during my time at Page. You will be missed!

  4. May he rest in peace. He was our linebacker and defensive end coach at Page back in 1985-1987. Through those years myself as well as other players got to know his son and wife as the years went by. We had him for shop class and you had to watch those wood chips some days 🙂 and he would take the time to give some good advice to those of us who needed it. I know he as had an impact on my life as well as others and well be missed. Prayers are with his family.
