Page High School checks in at #94 in the nation in the YAHOO! Sports Rivals poll and with them in the poll, you’ll find the team that is coming to Page this Friday, the Mallard Creek Mavericks at #24 and Scotland County spots up at #57 in the poll….I may have missed a few others, but you can see all the teams when you CLICK HERE…..

How is Page the number 1 seed heading into Friday’s Game if Mallard Creek is ranked so high nationally?
Both teams went into the playoffs with identical 10-0 records. Both teams were also conference champs and earned the 1 seed out of their respective conferences. So to break the tie the NCHSAA uses a random draw to determine the overall 1 seed and 2 seed in the actual 4AA bracket.
Its a 50/50 chance and I guess Page got 50% lucky…
