Very prestigious honor for David Amerson from James B. Dudley High School in Greensboro, N.C.
Only three other NC State players have been named Walter Camp first team All-Americans and Amerson is the first in 32 years. Previous Wolfpack first teamers were: Jim Ritcher, C (1979); Bill Yoest, G (1973); and Dennis Byrd, DE (1967).
*****Congrats to David and also looking back to the day, Bill Yoest was a good friend of the family back in the day and I used to wear his N.C. State letterman’s jacket to junior high as a kid and Bill told me I’d probably see him in the NFL one day and he did make it to the CFL and I think that David Amerson is a lock for the NFL…..I also made to the CGFL(Collins Grove Football League)…..*****
