  1. I just want to wish the players of Eastern Guilford the best tonight. The last few games have been kind of shaky for EG, but don’t let it frustrate you. The hard part of transition and or change is learning how to work as a unit again…play your strengths and learn how to cover for your weaknesses. I know for a fact this team has talent. Keep your head up Wildcats! Seniors, give it your all. This is your last year and you need to enjoy it to the fullest. What ever is for you… is for you and there is nothing or no one that can take it from you! Looking forward to the game tonight. Go Wildcats!

Wildcats Fans, if you can show up to away games in full force, don’t forget about the home games.

  2. Exciting ball game tonight at Caldwell. Man, can NGFS shoot the 3s. The Bears went up 6-0 on their first 2 shots that were easily each 24 footers. After that, Caldwell’s size just was too much. Caldwell played it’s best basketball of the season for 18 minutes and were up 51-26 2 minutes into the 2nd half. But NGFS came roaring back. Forced some turnovers with the press, battled tough on the boards (though clearly outsized) and started hitting the 3s from all over. When Obi-Rapu got cramps at about the 3 minute mark, combined with Adam Coble being on the sidelines the entire game, it appeared they were out of gas and tricks. But I got to hand it to this team, they just would not quit. The Bears fans should be plenty proud of this team. They trimmed a 79-69 deficit to 3 points with less than a minute left, before Caldwell hit 4 straight free throws down the stretch to pull it out 83-76. Good ball game. Caldwell’s guards, though they may not have had a ton of points, did a great job of getting the ball inside to Kobank & Matthew, as well as driving well to the basket. Mason Wyrick had what appeared to be his best offensive output of the season, too. Best win of the season for Caldwell – hopefully first of many.
