College Swimming Results – Ferrum 99, Guilford 66

FERRUM, Va. – Guilford’s women’s swimming team dropped a 99-66 decision at Ferrum College Saturday in the Quakers’ first competition under interim head coach Emily Wilson. The Quakers fell to 0-5, but won three events and shaved more than a combined 40 seconds off of their season-best times.

Rebecca Bacon won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:55.23, a team season best. She also placed second in the 100 butterfly in 1:33.74.

Kendra Medina made her season debut and picked up a win in the 100 backstroke in 1:15.68, the Quakers’ best time this season.

Both Medina and Bacon swam legs on Guilford’s victorious 200 medley relay, which swam a season-best 2:21.51.

Guilford swims with Greensboro College and Emory & Henry College tomorrow (1/22) at 1:00 p.m. in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference tri-meet.
