Coach’s Comments:

Zena is a game changer on offense and defense. She can hit the 3, drive to the
basket or pull up. She can create her own shot easily and is a constant threat
offensively. She has improved her defense and her rebounding. Zena not only has
great stats, but she gets hustle plays, forces turn overs, sprints the floor on
defense and offense. She is by far the best athlete/player I have coached thus far
in my coaching career. Off the floor she continues to work hard and improving in the
classroom. I see great things in Zena’s future education and basketball career. I
wish her all the best!

  1. Congratulations Zena, outstanding guard, who nevers seems to be tired and she is always moving on that court…..You stand beside her after a game and she doesn’t appear to be tired at all and she played her tail off…..Good job and keep it up…

  2. Congratulations Zena and the Lovette family, your hard work and dedication has paid off! Good luck in your future endeavors. Go Camels…play ball!

  3. Someone mentioned to me that Zena had commited and directed me to this article:

I am very proud of Zena and has always been a fan of the way she plays basketball. I have seen her on several occasions even though I have no ties to Southwest Guilford program. On the occasions that I have seen her over the years, I noticed that she has made several strides in improving her overall game. I do not know if I am a good judge of a ball player or not, but I do know she makes things happen and I always share with her how I thought she played in a particular game whenever I see her in public. Good luck to Zena and her family on and off the court in her future endeavors!

  4. I thought there was another girl either on her team or somewhere in the area that Campbell also sign. Does someone know the answer? It also seems like we are starting to see a lot of the girls from this area going to D1 programs such as Elon, Campbell, App State, Radford, UNC-Charlotte, High Point Univ, and UNCG. Hopefully these ladies will perform well in the classroom and on the court so these programs will continue to come back for future recruits. Great Job Zena Lovette !!
