College Women’s Swimming Results – Guilford 9th After 12 Events at ODAC Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Guilford College’s women’s swimming team sits ninth after 12 events of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships at the Greensboro Aquatics Center. Washington and Lee University maintained its first-day lead with 658 points, better than second-place Randolph-Macon College (489) in the nine-team field.

Guilford’s Kendra Medina highlighted the Quakers’ individual performances Saturday. She placed 16th in the 400-yard individual medley in 6:07.26. Medina had the 15th-best qualifying time in 6:02.52, the seventh-fastest in school history. Medina also reached the B final in the 100 backstroke where she took 16th in a career-low 1:13.81.

Freshman Morgan McKinnon was 16th in the 100 breaststroke with a season-best time of 1:25.61. She also swam on the Quakers’ 200 medley relay team that finished ninth in 2:19.14.

The competition concludes Sunday with preliminaries at 10:00 a.m. and the finals at 5:00 p.m.
