GREENSBORO, N.C. – Guilford College’s women’s swimming team placed eighth at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships Sunday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. The Quakers’ efforts in Sunday’s final six events helped the climb up one position and finish with 81 points in the nine-team event.

Washington and Lee University scored 992 points and claimed the title decisively over second-place Randolph-Macon College, which scored 740 points. Sweet Briar College (373) placed third, followed by Bridgewater College (329) and Greensboro College (222).

Guilford sophomore Kendra Medina placed 16th in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of two minutes, 37.60 seconds, the third-fastest in school history and just shy of a personal best.
