Frank Eaves-Page…..Sam Hunt-Dudley….Tracy Gathings-Smith….I think Frank has this one, as Page has lasted longer in the playoffs…..
BOYS Coach of the Year….David Price(Dudley) or Robert Kent(Page) and coach Melvin Stone at SEG did a good job….With what he started out with and how they finished, David Price should get a lot of votes…..
GIRLS Metro 4-A Coach of the Year…..Ron Boggs(Southern Alamance)….He would be hard to top…..Others did well, but SA really got a lot of people’s attention this year…..

Paris Kea-Page…Shay Burnett-Southern Alamance…Others with Boggs(SA), Hailey(SEG), Robinson(Smith), Clency(WG), Younger Rouse(DudLey)?????

BOYS POY
Jordan Hanner at SWG is a very good candidate…..Cody Hylton and Keaton Haack at NWG both candidates…..Glenn and East Forsyth guys both up in the air….
Coach of the Year Boys
Coach Reavis is a strong candidate and Coach Battle at HP Central will get some votes….
Girls POY
Zean Lovette from SWG should be a very strong candidate and Jessica Pone will get votes and Natalie Harper at NWG will be heard from on the ballot and she has to be at least First Team All-Conference….After the start that they had then their finish, Coach Joyner at NWG will be a top voe getter and Coach Bryan at SWG was expected to be good and they were, but it is never easy….
Mid-Piedmont 3-A
BOYS…Why not Bryce Benjamin at NEG for the Boys and Curtis Hunter for Coach of the Year??? North Forsyth and Asheboro players will get votes, but NEG has come on real strong here at the end of the season….
GIRLS…Your guess is as good as mine here for both honors, although I would love to see William Whitaker grab this award one year coming out of Southern as the girls coach….
Mid-State 3-A
BOYS POY….I would think that Brandon Hairston from Eastern Guilford would get some boys votes(maybe McBeth, Logan or Chandler on All-Conference from NG) and Ryan Freeman from Northern led his boys team to the conference regular season and tournament titles, so I don’t see who else could win it for the boys and for the GIRLS, I would say that Tina Gunn, from EG, did one of her best coaching jobs ever, but Tommy Cole at Williams will probably take the top honors and Kim Furlough at NG did a fine job too, after losing Samantha Coffer to graduation…..
PAC 6 2-A
BOYS….Why not Jalen Ford from HP Andrews? He had a great year and Brian Seagraves did a super job in his first year as the HPA boys head coach….Trinity will probably claim the honors instead….
GIRLS….Give it up to the HPA girls coach…They are still in the hunt, as they head to Jordan Matthews tonight and for Top Player on the GIRLS side? Maybe Santia Davis, but it could be one of many of the Lady Red Raiders……
For the MPC COY should go to Hunter or Vestal at North Forsyth.
POY- Michael Chambers North Forsyth, or Bryce Benjamin at NE Guilford.
Girls COY has gone to Ralls at Ledford every year and they won the conference again but LaPlant from SW Randolph should be in the running.
POY could go to Emmalee Thomas at Ledford, Abigail Bullins at Asheboro or Kaila Craven at SW Randolph.

I am biased on Gathings for Smith…would love to see him get it.

Great question Slim……Will there be logical decisions based on something quantifiable? One thing that holds true…..”numbers don’t lie!” Andy when the results are made public, could you please start a post with some numbers on it. That way we can try to figure out if there was any method to the madness.
