Tough Saturday for Vandalia Christian School Basketball

Turned out to be a tough Saturday for the Vikings from Vandalia Christian School, as they had just made it the finals in the NCCSA State 3-A Basketball tournament and it all took a turn for the worse, as both VCS squads failed to win the titles….

In the girls game at Gospel Light Christian School, in Walkertown, Wilson Christian topped VCS, 54-50….Raelin Davis led Vandalia with 14 points and 17 rebounds and Ashely Pollard added 11, for the Vikings….

For the boys, it was Neuse Christian 99-59 over Vandalia and I don’t know how you would stop Neuse….They have one of the Top Ten boys players in the state, in Terry Henderson and Henderson hit for 19 points on Saturday, to lead Neuse Christian to the championship…..Houston Miller, Charles Presnell and Tyler Daniels led VCS, with 18, 16 and 11 points…..All three plus Henderson, I am sure, were named to the All-Tournament Team…..

Good season for the Vikings from Vandalia Christian School, for both the boys and girls…..
