For the second time in as many days, Greensboro College baseball team hammered out a double digit hit effort to pick up a win. The Pride used a 13-hit attack to knock off Immaculata, 10-3 in game one of the doubleheader, one day after beating Hampden-Sydney behind an 18-hit effort. The Mighty Macs got the best of Greensboro in game two, though, winning by a final count of 4-3.

The Pride finished the game with seven extra base hits in game one, as Grant Kelley continued to swing a hot bat with three doubles.

After falling behind 1-0 in the second, Greensboro rallied to trim the score in half on an RBI single by Seth Caison in the bottom of the frame. The Pride took the lead, 3-2, in the third with two runs, coming on doubles by Steven Pfeiffer and Grant Kelley.

Kelley went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for The Pride, while Pfeiffer, Feldmann and Kyle Schmidt each chipped in with two hits. Kelley also led the team with a game high three RBI.

Ramel Graham picked up his second win of the year, going the distance with only two earned runs allowed and four strikeouts.

In game two, Greensboro fell behind 1-0 after the top of the first, but tied the game up in the bottom when Michael Cobb took home on a wild pitch. Cobb reached on a double and was moved to third after back-to-back singles before advancing home.

The Pride worked their way out of some early jams in the second and third, but were unable to prevent Immaculata from taking a 3-1 lead with two runs in the fourth. The Mighty Macs padded the lead in the sixth with a single run.

Greensboro narrowed the deficit in the bottom of the sixth with two runs of its own. James Feldmann knocked in the first run on a double to right while Kelley came through again with a sacrifice fly to left for the second score.

The Pride could not complete the comeback in the seventh, though, as Immaculata salvaged the doubleheader split.
