HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point University junior Anna Wallingford has been named National Lacrosse Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. The goalie made seven saves in HPU’s 13-10 win over Oregon on Saturday.

Wallingford faced 17 shots on net and stopped seven, holding the Ducks to 10 goals after they averaged 14.7 goals in their previous three games. Wallingford made a key save with under two minutes remaining and HPU up by just one goal at the time, preserving the lead.
