CHAPEL HILL North Carolina coach Larry Fedora took spring football practices on the road during his years at Southern Mississippi, and he’ll do the same thing Thursday when the Tar Heels scrimmage at Charlotte’s Mallard Creek High.
There will be a tailgating event that will begin at the school at 5 p.m., and Fedora will address the crowd before the Tar Heels begin scrimmaging at 6:30. Going on the road for a spring practice has its benefits, Fedora said Monday.
