College Golf Results – Guilford 10th After First Round of Emory Invitational

ATLANTA, Ga. – Oglethorpe University holds a three-stroke lead over host Emory University after Monday’s opening round of the Emory Spring Invitational. The annual NCAA Division III tournament is being played on the par-72, 6,860-yard Druid Hills Golf Club.

Guilford College shot 303 Monday and is in a share for 10th place, 11 strokes off the lead.

The Stormy Petrels shot 292 and lead the 17-team field thanks to four scores among the top 27. Eric Quinn shot 71 and shares third in the 96-man field. Teammate Hayden Jones is one shot back in a share for sixth place and Anthony Maccaglia carded a 74, which ranks 19th.

LaGrange College’s Hudson Keener leads the field after shooting four-under 68. His Panthers share third place at 296 along with Transylvania University.

The Pioneers’ Justin Tereshko is in second place, two strokes behind Keener, after a first-round 70.

The Quakers’ Dusty Roberts shot 73 Monday and shares 10th place on the individual leaderboard. Noah Ratner carded a 74 and Andrew Thompson shot 77. Freshman Nicholas Shedd provided Guilford’s fourth score with a 79 in his varsity debut.
