GC’s Feldmann Headlines USA South All-Conference Baseball Team

Greensboro College freshman second baseman, James Feldmann, headlined a group of seven Pride honorees on the USA South All-Conference Team. Feldmann garnered First Team and Rookie of the Years. He was joined by Second Team honorees, outfielder Seth Caison and third baseman Austin Catherina; Honorable Mention selections, pitcher and utility player Michael Cobb, shortstop Matthew Parker, and designated hitter Steven Pfeiffer; and All-Sportsmanship recipient, Everette Blalock.

Feldmann appeared in 31 of Greensboro’s 33 games as a freshman, posting a .385 batting average with 23 runs, 23 RBI and a team leading ten doubles. Feldmann finished the season with 15 multi hit games.

Caison finished the season with a batting average of .316 to go along with 19 RBI, 17 runs scored and a team high 11 stolen bases. Catherina also nabbed Second Team honors after hitting .276 with 22 runs, 15 RBI and nine doubles.

Cobb highlighted a list of three Honorable Mention selections, being chosen as both a pitcher and utility player. On the mound, Cobb went 4-0 with one complete game in seven total appearances. In 46.2 innings of work, he finished the year with a 1.16 ERA. As a utility player, Cobb hit .278 with 19 runs, 14 RBI and six stolen bases.

Parker manned the shortstop position in 31 of The Pride’s 33 games this season. He hit .280 with 21 runs scored, 17 RBI and seven stolen bases.

Pfeiffer, meanwhile, grabbed designated hitter honors with a .358 batting average, eight doubles, two home runs and team best 28 RBI.
