Will Bobby Lutz take his walking boots to where the Hokie shoots?:Is Lutz in cohoots with Virginia Tech?

Mark Berman, Courtside at www.roanoke.com and The Roanoke Times, says that many names are popping up, when it comes to the conversation about the vacant Virginia Tech men’s basketball coaching position….

N.C. State associate head coach Bobby Lutz is in the loop, so is Steve Robinson, assistant to Roy Williams at North Carolina, Gregg Marshall at Witchita State is in the mix and so are about 3-4 other names with Virginia Tech and Central Virginia ties(Jay Wright, Ron Everhart, Mike Young and more)….All are just talk right now, but Bobby Lutz is said to have been at a large breakfast meeting in Charlotte Thursday morning and then he stopped off in Greensboro to meet with Virginia Tech Athletic Director Jim Weaver, before Lutz made his way back to Raleigh and his N.C. State home office…..

Lutz met with Jim Weaver in Greensboro and here is that word on the line, from Berman Courtside at the Roanoke Times and Roanoke.com…..

In news on the coaching search, N.C. State assistant Bobby Lutz e-mailed a reply today(Friday) to the Fayetteville Observer in response to today’s(Friday’s) Washington Post report that, citing anonymous sources, said Lutz met with Tech about the coaching vacancy yesterday(Thursday).

Lutz told the Observer: ”It’s not appropriate for me to comment at this time.”
