Rowan County, a SR Legion powerhouse , rolled into Ramseur to take on
Eastern Randolph Post 81 last night. They rolled into a buzzsaw. Eastern
Randolph won 10 to 7 by putting together 16 hits including a solo walk-off
homer by Christian Snyder who is headed to Greensboro College. Randolph Macon
recruit Austin Bain got the start and the win on the mound for Post 81.
Dudley’s Kevin Murphry pitched middle relief along with Austin Capps from
Providence Grove. UNC recruit Dallas Newton got the save.
Fine pitching and sharp hits kept Rowan County on the ropes. Rowan’s 7
runs were aided by 3 Post 81 errors. Eastern Randolph travels to Winston Salem
Wednesday and is at home against Asheboro on Saturday.
It’s looking like ER and BG Post 63 are in store for a couple of battles this summer. Good pitching from ER vs a very potent BG lineup. Should be fun
