GRAHAM – Burlington-Graham’s lineup is loaded with hitters. The best of the Post 63 bunch just might be Elliott Fowler.

At least Monday night against visiting North Chatham.

The clean-up batter was 3-for-4 and his two-run home run tied the American Legion
non-conference game in the bottom of the first inning. His fifth-inning RBI double
gave Post 63 a lead it didn’t surrender as it beat North Chatham 8-4.

“The kid they moved from third base to pitcher in the eighth inning killed us,”
North Chatham manager Brian Brice said of Fowler. “We pitched him well and threw
good pitches, but he smoked them. They (Post 63) hit all game. They have no dead
points. Their team is very solid.”
