Burlington-Graham Post 63 suffers first loss of the season at hands of Randolph County

Courtesy of Burlington-Graham Post 65 baseball with Johnny Slaughter as head coach…..

Post 63 suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of Randolph County 6-4.(Smith, Kennedy, Thornton, Sappelt and Gunn still getting it done….) Wonder if this is the same Randolph County team with all of the SEG and Dudley boys on there???…..(Burkes, McAllister, Murphy, Newton, Bain, Jacobelli, Butler and others..)

Post 63 fell behind 4-0 after the third inning. They rallied for two runs in the
fourth inning and again in the fifth. Randolph County responded with two of their
own in the fourth and then proceeded to shut down Post 63’s offense in the last four
innings. Adam Smith (Western Alamance) went 3 – 4 with a run scored. Daniel
Kennedy (Western Alamance) added an RBI double and Adam Gunn (Eastern Guilford) and
Logan Thorton hit RBI singles. Eddie Sappelt (Southern Alamance) added a sacrifice
fly. Post 63 was outhit 18 – 8 and committed two errors.

*****Coach Johnny Slaughter needs to bring back the ‘Slsughter Rule’ in the future.*****

  1. Those boys play at Eastern Randolph. Randolph county is the Randleman, Sw Randolph and so on

  2. HiToms/Post 87 defeated Kernersville on Wednesday night 8-7… To give Kernersville their first conference loss…. Great Game….
