Former Southwest Guilford junior right-hander Ethan Ogburn (5-3, 3.23 ERA) takes the mound in the Wolfpack’s opener today at 2 p.m. on ESPNU. Ogburn comes off of the longest outing of his career, an 8 2/3 inning effort in an elimination game against UNC Wilmington.(Josh Tobias, the freshman from David Beasley’s program at Southeast Guilford High School, will be at third base for the Florida Gators.)*****We also learned yesterday, that DeSean Anderson(Ragsdale HS/South Carolina/RCC), will be playing baseball at UNC-Pembroke next season.*****

Louisville Slugger National Freshman Pitcher of the Year Carlos Rodon (9-0, 1.61) has been tabbed the starter for Sunday’s game at 1 p.m. on ESPNU. Rodon will make his first start since being named a Golden Spikes Award finalist on Tuesday.
NC State has not yet named a starter for a potential game three on Monday at 1 p.m. on ESPN2.
