Yeung grabs first-round lead at FJ Invitational:Hak, Pisciotta and Burns in second place

GREENSBORO, N.C. Motin Yeung of Orlando, Fla., finished the first round of
the FJ Invitational on top of the 84-player field after shooting 4-under-par 66,
while three players stand in second after shooting rounds of 69.

Conducted by the American Junior Golf Association, the FJ Invitational is a 72-hole
stroke play competition played on the par-70, 6,909-yard Cardinal Golf & Country
Club. The 84-player field features boys from 21 states and 9 foreign countries. For
the fifth consecutive year, the winner of the FJ Invitational will receive a
sponsor’s exemption into the PGA Tour’s Wyndham Championship in August.

Yeung had a consistent round today, shooting 33 on both the front and back nine. The
18-year-old Hong Kong native finished the day with five birdies.

“I was able to keep the ball in the fairway all day; I didn’t hit it into the
water or out of bounds,” Yeung said. “I made some putts and only made
one bogey so that took me to 4-under today.”

A two-time Rolex Junior All American, Yeung, who played for the victorious East
Wyndham Cup team last year, will begin his collegiate career in the fall at Duke
University.

“A win at the FJ Invitational would build my mind for playing under
pressure,” Yeung said.

Shun Yat Hak of Lake Mary, Fla., Michael Pisciotta of Alpharetta, Ga., and Sam Burns
of Shreveport, La. are in second at 1-under-par 69.

Tae Wan Lee of Orlando, Fla., Matthew NeSmith of North Augusta, S.C., Jake Shuman of
Needham, Mass., Jin Zhang of Beijing, China, and Henry Do of Ypsilanti, Mich., are
in fifth at even-par 70.

Second-round tee times will run from 7-11:30 a.m. off the No. 1 tee at Cardinal Golf
& Country Club. For more information about the FJ Invitational, please contact

About the AJGA

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated
to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn
college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides
valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership
(boys and girls ages 12-18) of approximately 5,500 junior golfers from 49 states and
more than 40 countries. To ensure scholarship opportunities for all junior golfers
who have the skill, the AJGA created the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE)
Grant program to provide financial assistance to young players in need.

behind the Association’s success since 1989. Rolex, which is in its third decade of
AJGA support, became the inaugural AJGA Premier Partner in 2004. In 2007, after 12
years of support, Ralph Lauren became the AJGA’s second Premier Partner.
