They had a series of games going down at Conway and all part of the South Carolina All-Stars Weekend and we had several of our local kids down there and I had never heard of this game, but did some research and here is what I found with Corey Kimber(Dudley) and Jaylin Davis(NEG) in this All-Star Game….NC/SC Select Baseball…..

CONWAY, SC — As he deliberates turning pro and joining the Minnesota Twins organization or attending Spartanburg Methodist in the fall, Erich Knab gave his suitors one more indication of his ability Thursday night at Coastal Carolina’s Charles Watson Stadium.
The recent Carolina Forest graduate, a 13th-round draft pick of the Twins, started and threw three scoreless innings for the South Carolina all-stars in the South Carolina/North Carolina Select game, allowing three hits and no walks while striking out four.
His effort contributed to a 4-3 win by the top seniors in South Carolina, who rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, capped by a game-winning RBI single by Clemson commit Steven Duggar of Byrnes High.
A strikeout of University of North Carolina commit Mike Massardo of Charlotte Latin High to end the third and his outing stranded Tarheels leadoff hitter Jaylin Davis of Northeast Guilford High at second base for the second time in the game.
North Carolina carried a 3-1 lead into the seventh inning, when reliever Corey Kimber walked the first two S.C. batters and loaded the bases with a two-out walk. Coastal Carolina commit Conner Owings of Gilbert hit a flare into left field on a 3-2 count for a two-run single to tie the game.
Davis’(NEG) third single of the game plated N.C.’s third run.
