Greensboro Day and Dudley boys/Greensboro Day School girls in the Finals of the State Games Basketball in Winston-Salem

Five high schools advanced to the medal round for the Powerade State Games
Boys High School Basketball Tournament. Millbrook (1 seed), Greensboro Day,
Dudley
, North Rowan and JF Webb are the high schools that won their pool to
advance. All games are beinh played TODAY at the Lawrence Joel Coliseum
Education Building……Finals play got under way at 9am this morning….

For the girls, six teams reached the medal play round. Chapel Hill, Bishop
McGuiness and Alexander Central all won their respective pools. The second
place teams in those pools also advance. They are WS Atkins, Greensboro Day and Winston-Salem Prep.

    Heard the GDS boys rolled to the title. They beat Dudley this morning by 30 or so and then in the finals just destroyed a very good Millbrook team 80-33. They are going to be fun to watch.

    The Bengals looked good this weekend. They played harder than their opponents in the 2 games I saw.
