GRAHAM — While heat lightening illuminated the sky Wednesday night at Tom Zachary Field, Burlington-Graham Post 63 used some flashes of its own to finish a three-game sweep of Eastern Randolph Post 81 in American Legion baseball.
Catcher Daniel Kennedy hit his third home run in as many games, a three-run shot in the third inning that was the eventual game-winning hit in a 6-3 victory.
Post 63 (17-7) completed a sweep in the best-of-5 playoff series, winning by a combined score of 29-12. Its next series is slated to begin Monday night against Randolph County Post 45.
