Appalachian State names Billy Jones as their new baseball coach

UNCG is still working with a shutout, but Appalachian State University in Boone, says we’ll see you soon, as their man Chris Pollard left for Duke back in June, but now the Mountaineers are playing a new baseball tune, with Billy Jones coming in from Oklahoma State to create, a ‘new feel’ up in the hills……

Billy Jones is the new man at App and we have at least two Guilford County kids headed up that way, to play for Mr. Jones….Jaylin Davis and Caleb McCann(Northeast Guilford High School) plan to play for the new man, Mr. Jones…

Appalachian State has hired Billy Jones as its baseball coach, athletics director Charlie Cobb of ASU announced Friday.

An 18-year coaching veteran, Jones spent the past eight seasons as an assistant at Oklahoma State. He replaces Chris Pollard, who left ASU to become the head coach at Duke.
