Eastern Guilford High School is excited to announce that Kristal Britton will be the
new head women’s basketball coach. Coach Britton is a Mission Possible Program
Specialist for Guilford County Schools. Coach Britton has an outstanding resume as
a basketball coach. Her last head coaching job was at James B. Dudley High School-
which was from 2004 to 2010 in which her team’s record was 144-29 and included a 3A
State Championship in 2009.

Ø NC 3A Eastern Regional Appearances (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009)

Ø Triad 3A Conference Champions (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009)

Ø Triad 3A Conference Tournament Champions (2005, 2008, 2009)

Ø 2006 Little Four Tournament Championships

Ø 2009 Gatorade International Tournament 2nd Place (San Juan, Puerto Rico)

Ø Triad 3A Conference Coach of the Year (2008, 2009)

Ø Conference Players of the Year (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009)

Ø Conference Defensive Player of the Year (2009)* (New Conference Award in 2008)

Ø 2009 YWCA Women in Sports Empowerment Award

Ø Greensboro News & Record Coach of the Year (2005, 2009)

Ø NC Associated Press 1st Runner-up Coach of the Year (2005, 2009)

Again, Eastern Guilford is very excited to have Coach Britton to join the coaching
staff.

  2. andy, you forgot about the STATE championship she won at Dudley, but eastern guilford got a good one!

I remember that title well and Eastern has the mention of it in their press release….Yes, I was at that game and saw the Lady Panthers win it all with Helen Terry, Breonna Patterson and Desiree Drayton at the foul line hitting those free throws in the second half to preserve that win….They knocked off Shannon Smith and Forestview at Reynolds Coliseum in Raleigh, on the N.C. State campus….A great day for Coach Kris Britton and Dudley women’s basketball….
