American Legion Baseball Update:Kernersville in contention

Here is the update on the Junior American Legion Baseball Playoffs:(Courtesy of Bob Beeson with American Legion Baseball)

Thursday night Kernersville defeated Thomasville-Davidson to win that best 3 out of 5, 3 games to 0. Kernersville will play the winner of the Lake Norman-Rowan series.

Both winners will advance to State Championships schedule for 20-24 July in Swansboro.

Lake Norman leads ther series with Rowan 2 games to 1. Kernersville with play the
Rowan/Lake Norman winner to determine who goes as the number 1 seed.

  1. I still think we should have been there. We lost each game to Lake Norman by one run in the last inning. On the bright side the good competition will make Southeast Guilford better. Sometimes you have to have a little luck and sometimes young kids have to learn how to win.
    Kernerville is my pick to win the area and maybe the State Championship. We played them twice and lost both times. The last game they ten runned us which I do not ever remember that happening to a Southeast team . Good luck Chad Loflin and Chad Edwards — hope you guys go all the way. You run a class program.
