The Carolina Preps 11u/5th grade boys AAU team won its first pool play game today
62-31 versus the Central New Jersey Hawks at the AAU Division I Nationals in Cocoa
Beach, Florida. The team used an aggressive defense to shut down a very sound
basketball team from New Jersey. The Carolina Preps are the #2 ranked 5th grade team
in the country and they are based out of Guilford County. The Preps were led by Kobe
Langley with 18 points and 5 steals, Isaiah Wilkins with 10 points and Nicholas
Cheeley with 8 points. The team will face No Limit Red out of Ohio tomorrow at 9:00
am. The other team members that contributed were: Nick Brown, Mike Green, Keyshaun
Langley, Wendell Moore, Josh Nickelberry and Jeremiah Wilson.
