NCAA Penalizes Penn State

Not quite the Death Penalty, but Penn State is pretty much out of the football business for at least a decade.

1. $60 Million Fine (a year’s revenue from football)
2. No Post Season Bowl games for 4 years.
3. Athletes may transfer out without penalty.
4. Scholarships cut to 15 for four years.
5. Vacating all wins from 1998 to 2011.

Is it enough?

  1. #Scholarships cut by 15.

I think they got it right under difficult circumstances. The NCAA targeted the offending party, the University and those in key leadership positions. The program was hurt, but not in any way crippled. Football will still be played at Penn State.
