Link Jarrett new baseball coach at UNCG

Link Jarrett is the new baseball coach at UNCG….We had him listed here last week as the top candidate and he has the job as of this week….UNCG took a long time in finding their new man and as we reported last week, he has been in charge of player development on the baseball staff at Auburn University and he is a former player at Florida State and with those Florida State ties, that ties him right in with UNCG Athletic Director Kim Record, who spent time in the athletic department at FSU…

Jarrett has also been on the staff at East Carolina and other colleges along the way and his new path will take him to UNCG, as he replaces the only baseball coach that UNCG has ever had, Mike Gaski….Gaski was let go at the end of the 2012 season…..

Now we will have to see if UNCG will bring in Coach Larry Edwards, the pitching coach at Eastern Kentucky, as we were also talking about this last week when we put Jarrett at the top of the list for the new head coach at UNCG…We will have to wait and see, but we do know for now, that Link Jarrett is the new baseball coach at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro….
