Terry Allmon girls basketball coach at High Point Central moving on to Asheboro

Terry Allmon, the girls basketball coach at High Point Central, has made the move and he has left the Bison for Asheboro….

Allmon had some good years at HP Central, but he had some great seasons at East Davidson…Allmon was an assistant coach for the West girls basketball squad, in this past Summer’s East-West All-Star game, at the Greensboro Coliseum….

Allmon had several Championship seasons at East Davidson and he took the Yellow Jackets to State Titles, but he could never really find that same kind of success at High Point Central…

Central has seemed to hit a big bump in the road, since they lost Kenny Carter as their head coach for the girls two years ago….Allmon spent two seasons in High Point and now he will try and take the Asheboro Blue Comets to the top….

Central will be busy trying to find someone to take the position, now that Allmon is in charge at Asheboro….The numbers just aren’t there right now like they used to be at Central, but maybe Coach Aaron Grier will get a shot at this girls job….

Coach Grier has done a great job building the High Point Stars AAU girls basketball program….We’ll see in the next few days which way Athletic Director Cook will turn, now that the job is open and the start back of school, is just around the corner…..

AD Cook will have to turn on the heat in the kitchen, over at High Point Central and make a move to fill out that coaching menu for this season of 2012/2013…
