P.J. Hairston(Dudley HS/Hargrave) hits for 49 points with 10 dunks in a NC Pro-Am Summer League Game(Named League MVP)

Our old pal to the web site P.J. Hairston, out of Dudley High School and Hargrave Military Academy, hit for 49 points with 10 dunks in one of his NC Pro-Am Summer League basketball games this week and he was also named the Most Valuable Player in the League, for the Summer of 2012….

  1. This just shows that shooters will eventually find their way. PJ was simply out of bounce last year. He will get the minutes and freedom to get on track early this year. He has improved on his ball handling which was never strong in high school and he has really improved on his foot work off the dribble. I believe you will see PJ playing at a new level this year at UNC. I don’t agree with “Dexter” that PJ could be a lottery pick next year but I do personally think he could be by his junior or senior if this is the break out year that I think it will be. One thing that the pro teams simply to want is someone that can dominate at least one position. With PJ’s range and strength, someone will seriously look at him in the NBA coming from a place like Carolina. Let’s hope he has that break out year. Everybody needs a shooter.
