‘The Group’ has been Matthews Butler, Mallard Creek and Charlotte Independence over the last couple of high school seasons down in Charlotte and now that list/group is growing, with Charlotte Vance taking a chance and now they Cougars are ready to join the ‘Big Dance’….Vance spent little time trying to romance Independence and it was not by chance when Vance was able to advance 35-0 last Thursday night and after whipping the Patriots, now Vance will put on their football pants the same way again, as they try to use their run and rants past Butler this coming Saturday night in Charlotte….Vance also now has a new stance, in the Charlotte Observer Sweet 16 Poll, with the Vance Cougars at Number 10 and climbing…..

They have been playing all of their football games down in Charlotte on Thursday this past week and now on this Saturday this week, because the Democratic Convention is in town and the Convention needed the extra police security(traffic etc.) for the opening of the convention last Friday and they will need the extra police again this coming Friday, as the Democratic Convention comes to a close…..

On Charlotte Vance and the moves the Cougars are making from the Charlotte Observer.com:

A few days after a shocking shutout of Independence, Vance High’s football team makes a big jump in this week’s Charlotte Observer Sweet 16 football poll.

The Cougars beat Independence 35-0 Thursday, handing the Patriots their first shutout defeat in 188 games and 13 years. A panel of Observer sportswriters voted and the Cougars moved up four spots in this week’s poll to No. 10. Vance (3-0) will play No. 1 Butler (2-0) at home Saturday night.

Independence (2-1) fell six spots to No. 14.
