College Women’s Soccer Final – Rowan 4, Guilford 0

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – A wave of second-half goals carried Rowan University to a rain-soaked 4-0 women’s soccer win over Guilford College Saturday in a tournament hosted by the university of Mary Washington.

The Quakers (0-4) held Rowan (1-0) scoreless for 45 minutes as the Profs outshot Guilford 6-1. Rowan opened the second stanza with a string of three goals in nine minutes and then added to its lead in the 67th minute on an Erika Suhl tally, her second of the game.

The Quakers were outshot, 16-1, and Rowan held the corner-kick advantage, 10-3. Guilford’s Miriam-Davis Rosenbaum made four saves in her first college start.

The Quakers finish the weekend Sunday (9/9) against tournament host Mary Washington at 3 p.m.
