Tyrone Outlaw Jr. headed to UNCG for hoops

The #14 player in the state of North Carolina, Tyrone Outlaw Jr., from Person County(Roxboro Person High School), has verbally committed to attend UNC Greensboro and he will play for Wes Miller’s Spartans….

Outlaw will be a senior small forward at his dad’s old school(Person High) in 2012/2013 and then he will head to Greensboro and get started at UNCG in the fall of 2013…..

from High School OT and Nick Stevens at www.wralsportsfan.com:

“Wes Miller is doing great things there, and the program is going to take off,” Outlaw said. “There’s some great players coming in there.”

Outlaw’s dad, Tyrone Outlaw Sr., was one of the best high school players in this state back in the 90’s and he came out of high school the same year as Antawn Jamison and at the time, Outlaw was every bit as good a player as Jamison, but things never materialized for Outlaw Sr., after he played in the East-West All-Star Game at the Greensboro Coliseum against Jamison(Gastonia Ashbrook) and his West squad and at the time, Outlaw was headed to N.C. State, but he ended up at a junior college and never made it to the top of the ladder…..

Outlaw Jr. now has his chance and it will come at UNCG……
