High School Football Games on tap tonight and “Can you smell what ‘The Jock’ is cooking?”

TONIGHT with 7:30pm kickoffs…..Radio game on AM950 will be Dudley at Smith, with our pre-game set for 6:45pm, from the campus of Ben L. Smith High School and the Claude Manzi Stadium….You can also catch the games on 97.7FM(inside the stadium) and at www.wpetam950.com….We will have scores throughout the night, here at the site….Don Moore with the scores and we will have Dennis White with us at the Smith-Dudley game….

Dudley(1-3) at Smith(0-3)….Huge rivalry game and lots of focus will be on Richard Hayes III from Dudley….He has carried the team in the early season, while Chris Register and Albert McLean lead the defense…Omar Foust is a man we will be watching from Smith…..
Southeast Guilford(3-1) at Grimsley(1-2)…Grimsley looking to make it two wins in a-row….SEG hopes to have RB Jamal Petty back….
Western Guilford(1-3) at Page(0-4)….Page going for first win of the season again tonight and it would be a big, as this would send them to (1-0) Metro….WG will have a lot to say about this one, since they are at home(next week)…
East Forsyth(4-0) at High Point Central(3-1)[Simeon Stadium]…The first of many ‘Games of the Year’, coming up in the Piedmont Triad 4-A Conference….Most everyone is leaning toward East Forsyth with Garrison Duncan, Paul Jones and others, from Kernersville….
WS Parkland(1-3) at Ragsdale(4-0)….I do believe this is the ‘Homecoming Game’ for Ragsdale and they should be able to celebrate with friends and family after the game…Tigers by way too many…
Northwest Guilford(3-1) at Glenn(1-3)….NWG bac to the win column, but the can not underestimate the Bobcats. Look what happened in the JV game last night, where the Vikings fell for the first time in nearly 5 years….
Northern Guilford(3-0) at Burlington Williams(4-0)….Big test for the Nighthawks, but with a healthy T.J. Logan, they should pass this test and then start getting ready for unbeaten Eastern Alamance next Friday night at home….
Southern Guilford(3-0) at Orange(3-1)….Storm behind Moseley, Gallaspy and Ball ought to able to crush the Orange….No juice, but just good steady Southern football….
Eastern Guiford(1-3) at Eastern Alamance(4-0)…..Going to be real tough for EG to get a win in Mebane….EA has the flight power, with those Eagles looking ought to find a flight pattern and soar right past the Wildcats and the Eagles may not have to touch the ground….
High Point Christian(3-1) at Wake Christian(0-4)…This game is for for the taking for HPCA…Got to go get this road win……

Northeast Guilford[3-1](OPEN)

  1. Alright Damon we know you know. Is Mr. Petty in or out tonight. We want to beat SEG tonight when they are at their best so we hope he is all healed up. Hopefully De’Shawn Jones will also be ready to play. I am hoping it will be another exciting game tonight. Coach better not let the Whirlies start out flat like last week.

  2. The revision for WG at Page is complete and thanks….I keep going by what I thought they did last year and I better start looking them all up just to be sure….

  3. My baby brother will be suited up and ready to go. They all know that they were upset by Grimsley 2 years ago 16-14, so forget about 24-6 last year, it’s a new day!

  4. Unfortunately, I can smell what the “Jock is cooking”…your prediction of Dudley over Smith was correct. To suffice it to say that neither team is as good as they have been in recent years…a lot of turnovers, a lot of penalties by both teams, but at the end of the day, Smith was destroyed. There’s no offensive blocking unfortunately for the Smith quarterback, who at times makes some good throws. Defense definitely looked stronger in the second half. I will be there next week, SMITH, looking for that WIN…come on GUYS!
