College Volleyball Final – Lynchburg 3, Guilford 0

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Marion Lozano and Rebecca Loftis contributed eight apiece each in Lynchburg College’s 25-19, 25-15, 25-15 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) volleyball win at Guilford College Wednesday night in the Ragan-Brown Field House.

The Hornets (11-4, 4-2 ODAC) began the match with a 5-2 run and held the lead for the remainder of the first set. Lozano had six of her eight putaways in the opening set and helped the team hit .196.

Rachel Turk had 27 assists and added 12 digs. Molly Deacon was credited with a match-high 15 digs.Lozano also had four blocks and hit .615 for the match.

Malikah French and Aly Hasiam paced the Quakers with seven kills apiece. Kelsey Ruehling added five. Setter Taylor Whitley had 18 assists and six digs. Brittany DeCesare had a team-high 13 digs and Brooke Herr (10 digs) had the Quakers’ only ace.

Guilford plays the third of five straight home matches Friday (9/28) against Salem College at 6:00 p.m.
